What they neglect to tell you going into your third week postpartum in the "What to Expect the First Years" Book:
1. You're think, "This is the longest time of the month I've ever had"
2. You're start to make up new words to the music box nursey rhymes you have to play to get the baby to sleep at 4am.
3. Driving with an empty carseat never felt so good.
4. You can't wait to pawn the baby off on your husband/boyfriend/significant other because for the first two weeks you were on house arrest and now you're so excited about getting out of the house, you don't care if it IS only grocery shopping.
5. You feel bad for your pet becaue she's a little high strung and all you every do is yell at her to "Go to bed"
6. Your baby keeps smiling in her sleep and you think to yourself, "Here comes the poop."
Okay, I had some really good ones at four o'clock this morning when Annelise refused to go back to sleep. SHE FLIPPED ME OFF! lol Now she's sitting in her chair grinning and I just know I'm in for a poopy diaper later. She's awake now, though... but it loks like just barely.
Hey, does anyone know why the pictures I'm trying to post aren't coming up? Do my photos have to be hosted first?
Anyway, I have my two week check up today in Galveston. Mom asked when she was going to see the baby again and so we made an arrangement for her to watch her while I go to the island for a couple hours. I told her, "Any time you want her, let me know." LOL
Felix decided not to go to Iraq after some "discussion" I guess you could say.
Have to go to Columbus tomorrow to visit my grandparents and show Annelise off to them. Felix can't go because he's on call.
The batteries are dead in her chair so I guess it's harder for her to fall asleep... another evil poop smile. Mom said she wished she had one of these things when we were kids... I don't know how my parents did it, I tell you. This chair is the best thing I have. It's like a secret weapon... "Go to sleep or I'll give you the chair!!!"

Wow you are a good blogger! You type a lot to say. I'm not very interesting since we don't have any kids to talk about!!! When I log on to blooger.com and add a new post, it has a little picture thing I can click ot upload on my Mac laptop. When I used a regular PC, I downloaded the program Hello and it was very easy to upload photos. You best figure it out, we want to see our niece :-)
