Well, just an update. We're all moved (again!) and are settling into our apartment. My job is good, I work after 3pm Mon-Fri and on the weekends anytime. Short hours, which makes it so much better than Kohl's. Went to an interview at Babies R Us yesterday and am supposed to hear back from them before the weekend. Don't think I'll be getting hired there because of my "after 3" availability, but that's okay, too, since Felix might be getting ANOTHER promotion. I figure we'll just put my paychecks in the bank... FINALLY, we can get another bank account!

Anyway, our internet is off, but E-mail communication is still possible because we live down the street from my mom (such a bonus in SO many ways!), and just as a warning, our phone might be getting shut off because we can't afford the $300 bill until after New Year's... however, we're going to try to get a home phone, so if anyone gets a phone call from a strange number, it might be us. I'll leave messages, don't worry.

Pictures of the Mural Felix and I painted in Annelise and Aireka's room at our apartment. Unfortunately, we had to move two months later... I'll put up the picture of Annelise's name that we painted on the wall here as soon as I get the CD back from Walgreen's and we get our internet hooked up again... Felix drew the butterfly, the caterpiller on the mushroom and the dragonfly for me. I'm most proud of my bluebird, though... too bad I didn't get a close up, he had a really cute look on his face. :( Posted by Picasa

Finally found a Christmas Dress! Perfect! Only, we had to get it in St. Louis... and my "Evil Wookie" was the one that found it! Thanks bunches!!! We love it! Posted by Picasa

Either these books that I'm reading are WRONG, or I've got a really smart/advanced baby.... Let's go through the checklist... Annelise can:

Push up on her feet when you hold her up;
Lift her head up and look around for a good amount of time;
"Talk";
Smile at people upon hearing their voice;
Kick her feet hard enough to set off her cow on the playmat.

There's probably more that I'm missing... but she's also trying to do the little "belly jam" thing... where they bounce on their tummy.

Anyway, she's been sleeping a good seven hours every night for the past three nights (last night was the third one). And she woke up briefly for a minute this morning about an hour ago and went back to night-night land when I'd come back in the room. Which means she'll be working on hour eight in another half hour if I remember right. (Felix said they came to bed around twelve-thirty last night.)

Fabulous, at this rate she'll be cutting teeth next week and walking before she's four months old. HA! But with my luck, she won't potty train until she's THREE or something!

Yay for baby! She slept seven hours straight last night. I think I've figured out why she doesn't like sleeping on her back in her crib. It isn't that she doesn't like sleeping on her back, it's that the matress is too hard. She'll sleep on pillows, blankets and the couch (even the floor because it's carpeted), but never her own crib matress. So I took her changing pad which is covered in a soft purple cover and put it under her in the crib (perfect fit because it's one of the rail rider pads). She literally "slept like a baby". She slept another four hours and got up about an hour ago (noon-time).

Definitely have to get some packing tape today. I forgot that Felix has been taking the car to and from work so I'm going to have to wait until he gets home. Finally got around to buying groceries last night, it's amazing what you get for $65... or what you CAN get if you know how. ;) I definitely have some great bargain shopping role models, that's for sure!

Anyway, cleaning is on my list for today, aside from getting packing tape. It's easier to pack a clean house... cheaper, too, if you know what I mean.

Added new pictures to my photo album. Unfortunately, I grabbed the negatives from the first camera, so the second camera I've yet to get the pictures from. Those are some good pictures, too... the one where she's "tanning" (under the bili lights for jaundice) is in that set. I'll find them, don't worry. There are some good ones in the third camera (The pictures I just added).

Annelise is out with my mom shopping today while Felix is at work and I go to Palais Royal... I'm assuming they want me to fill out paper work or something... Easiest job in the world, I tell you. I'm being hired as a gift wrapper!

Anyway, I have to get something to eat now, I'll be around.

So here it is the third of December and it's, like, 75+ degrees outside. I'M WEARING SHORTS. That's how nice it is outside.

Anyway, went to my interview yesterday... not much of an interview, really. I'm supposed to call back around two to find out what the Store Manager has to say about the hours that I'm available. (Mon-Fri 3-close) I told the girl that interviewed me that if the weekends were going to be a problem, I could work around it. I know a ton of people that want to babysit... might as well, too, Annelise is probably the perfect candidate.

Felix is liking his new job. A day or two after he started there, he'd all ready been promoted to Lead... he just has to get his EPA/HVAC certification in order to get the raise... seems fair. John said he would help him study for it. They're both out playing golf today.

You know, I'm kind of GLAD we're moving again because these people next to us have the noisiest family. The two kids are always banging around and yelling and the husband and wife are always yelling at each other, too. It only happened just recently, too, I'm not sure why. They weren't like this when we moved in.

Man... babies have some great toys. I bought the playmat and remembered that Annelise's swing was in the hall closet last night. She's not really too impressed with the mat yet, but we haven't really played with it. So anyway, I took out her swing and bought some new batteries for it. She was whining (and it was a "play with me" whine, not one of those, "feed me" things after I changed her this morning, so I brought her downstairs and put her in her swing. She is SO interested in that thing. I'm glad I went to try it out last night because I was told you shouldn't put a newborn in a travel swing 'cause their head will flop around... lucky me, I have one that leans back and was designed for newborn babies to nine month olds.

Anyway, we have to move again. :( Sucks but hopefully this is the last time for a while. The place we're moving to supposedly doesn't have that rule about having to move out in 72 hours if you're an employee. Our rent's cheaper, though, so that will be good...

I have an interview tomorrow at 5:30pm. I tried to go to a couple places I KNOW aren't really that busy during the holiday season, seems like there would be a lot less stress as well.

Going over to mom's house today to go through Christmas ornaments and stuff. She absolutely adores Annelise. I wasn't sure how she would feel before, but now I have no doubt about it, if she could see her everyday, that would be fine with her I'm sure... as long as she was able to give her right back.

Switched formulas to Enfamil Lipil with Iron because the pediatrician wouldn't approve her Similac. Just as well, though, I could tell the difference between the formulas as soon as I opened the can. Maybe Similac wasn't the greatest thing in the world... She's all ready up to eating 4-5 ounces now... definitely makes me think about how chubby she's going to end up because our friend's baby is eating 6 ounces and she'll be 3 months old the day after Annelise is a month old... Big Chunky and Little Chunky.
